The JLLA presented “Starlight Arcade” at the Sony Pictures Studios

The Sony Pictures Studios was the location for the ?Starlight Arcade?, presented by the Junior League of Los Angeles. The Junior League raised thousands of dollars to aid in their community partners including the Boys and Girls Club, Chrysalis, and Wonder of Reading. Participants included Sushi Girl, Chan Dara, Susie Cakes in Brentwood, In-and-Out, Absolut and El Charo Mexican restaurant. It promised to be a fun-filled night of arcade-style games, street performers, live music, silent auction, and a cigar lounge and it didn’t disappoint.

False fronts decorated in an art-deco style along with hand painted murals of old and new Columbia movies posters provided the perfect Hollywood ambiance to mingle with friends. Classic midway arcade games, activity booths, a photo booth, and street performers lined the streets to provide activities for all tastes. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres from a sampling of LA’s hottest restaurants, grown-up Absolut? beverages, silent auction, cigar lounge, jazz band and a billiards. There was a competitive bidding for an array of silent auction items, as well as great deals on sports memorabilia, jewelry, and other high-end items, cocktails, microbrew beers, and wine.

Guests also took part in a pool tournament held in the Rita Hayworth Lounge. The Pool Tournament began at 6 pm for 64 players with a pre-sale ticket purchased at $200. VIP tickets were available at $150 and included the 6 p.m. reception and front row viewing of the pool tournament action in the Rita Hayworth Lounge. The all-inclusive Pool Tournament included the VIP reception which featured a professional billiards demonstration, live jazz, hors d?oeuvres, a cigar lounge and wine tasting, which started at 6:00 pm. The Main Event kicked off at 8pm with individual tickets starting at $75 presale, $100 at the door.
