In light of all we?ve been reading AND hearing about lately – concerning celebrities and their Swag ? along comes a company that seems to have perfect timing, Swag Is Good.

Swag Is Good, which will officially make its launch in October 2006, is an exclusive matchmaking service for merchants and celebrities. It is also the first company to offer swag to celebrities every month, all year round.

The truth is, lately, ?swag? has almost become a dirty word?so how could launching yet another new swag company be considered good timing? Well, because Swag Is Good has a fresh, new approach to the gifting industry. Traditionally for retailers, getting their product into a yearly awards basket can cost upwards of $10,000 to $35,000 – plus the product. These baskets are surely sought after but they are also more times than not, given to an employee, re-gifted or simply not used. So, unlike a gift bag, where a merchant has no idea whether an item will even be used or worn by the celebrity who receives it, Swag Is Good allows celebrities to choose the merchandise themselves. And merchants are able to proactively target the celebrity demographic of their choice. Merchants can work on their own time lines with monthly listings and the price tag is far less than the existing alternatives.

Another reason the timing is so perfect for the Swag Is Good launch, is the fact that the IRS has recently turned a once blind eye on the whole gifting industry. Celebrities now face the possibility of a big tax bill for swag they never used or asked for and it?s making everyone more cautious, all the more reason to have an alternative way in which to be ?swagged?. With Swag Is Good, celebrities are only receiving the merchandise they hand pick for themselves and then they are able to work privately with their own financial advisors come tax season.

Swag Is Good is extremely discreet and private about the swag that is received by its celebrity clientele and never ships to a third party, only to the celebrities they have a direct relationship with.

Swag Is Good is the latest brainchild of entrepreneur and former celebrity personal assistant, Cathy Stanley. Her unique perspective on the celebrity experience makes her especially sensitive to the privacy needs of high-profile celebrities. She also knew that it was important for merchants to still be able to get their products into the hands of celebrities, as that can have a very positive effect on sales. So she saw a way to bridge the two needs, and the answer came to her in the form of, Swag Is Good.

According to Cathy, she witnessed so much waste with the traditional way of ?swagging?, because so little of it actually made it into the hands of the intended celebrity.

Swag Is Good also encourages its celebrity membership to ?give back? with a charitable donation option and by highlighting the celebrities favorite charities on the Swag Is Good website.

Cathy sees Swag Is Good as a win-win situation as both the celebrities and the merchants stand to benefit greatly by the service they offer.

And the public can benefit as well, since even the average citizen can get on the Swag Is Good site and enter the Swag Sweepstakes for a chance to win. With the public?s preoccupation with everything ?celebrity? right now, it looks like Swag Is Good will serve us one and all.
