This past month, a re-imagined Jane Doe John Doe Boutique hosted a launch party to showcase its newest designer lines. Many notable Los Angeles designers were featured alongside finalists from Season 5 of Project Runway including finalist Korto Momulu and winner Leanne Marshall, whose looks are very unique, yet very different from one another. Jerell Scott, the 4th runner-up of the show, is the co-owner and a notable creative force behind the boutique’s image. Ani Lee, the former owner and now co-owner, also featured her own line, which was seen on the employees working the event.

Laguna Beach Jean Company hosted a huge private bash to commemorate their first anniversary on The Kress rooftop for celebrities and VIPs. The 2009 Laguna Beach Jean Company Titanium Collection of not only jeans but tees, hoodies, and jackets for men and women was unveiled in an electrifying fashion show later in the evening. The celebrities clamoring to attend the bash were a testament to Laguna Beach Jean Company being one of the hottest and most sought-out fashion brands on the scene.

It’s not every day Justin Timberlake’s golfing prowess gets auctioned off, but this night, 18 rounds of golf with Timberlake and golf pro Butch Harmon (Tiger Woods’ coach) were up for bid, along with a walk on the red carpet with Jessica Biel at the premier of her film Easy Virtue, skydiving with a Navy Seal and sculpting bodies with a trainer to the stars. The auction was held at the Make The Difference Network’s holiday party to benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and is part of an on-going online auction open through December 18, 2008.

The legendary Clint Eastwood will be presented with the Career Achievement Award at the 20th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival. A highly respected director, actor and producer, Eastwood will be honored at the Awards Gala, hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart, on January 6, 2009.

Presented by Cartier, The Awards Gala will salute Clint Eastwood’s impressive career, which includes his most recent films, “Gran Torino”, which he stars in and directed, and “Changeling”, which he directed and produced and which stars Angelina Jolie.

Festival chairman Harold Matzner stated, "Clint Eastwood is a living legend who continually raises the bar of artistic expression with each new film, whether he is acting, directing, or producing.  The Palm Springs International Film Festival is honored to present Eastwood with the Career Achievement Award for his extraordinary body of work."
